Alex Chu & Shin Ae (Ep 1-8, 13-34) [Romantic couple]

Alex Chu (born September 2, 1979), known simply as Alex, is a Korean-Canadian singer and actor. He is the male vocalist of acid jazz and electronica band Clazziquai and played a bit role in the korean dramas Hotel King, My Lovely Girl, and A Thousand Day's Promise.

Shin Ae (born March 13, 1982) is a South Korean actress and model. She starred in television dramas “Medical Center” and “Summer Scent.

The couple earned the moniker Romantic Couple due to heartwarming romantic acts and events organized by Alex.

Crown J & Seo In Young (Ep 1-41) [Ant couple / A! couple]

Crown J (born November 12, 1979) is a Korean rapper raised in LA, USA. His hip-hop songs are famous to Koreans since the songs primarily focus on issues close to Korean’s hearts such as friendships, family and love. He is also known as Crown Jewel and his English name is Kevin.

Seo In Young also known as Elly (born on September 3, 1984) is a dancer, model, TV host, actress and  Kpop singer and member of the group, “Jewelry”.

Both nicknames given to Crown J and In Young were related to Crown J - - ant points to Crown J’s skinhead haircut that similar to the appearance of an ant, while A! is Crown J’s exclamation in their song, “Too Much” as well as another symbol for his inverted peace sign.

Andy & Solbi (Ep 1-28) [Ansol couple/Anbi couple]

Andy Lee (born January 21, 1981) is an actor and the rapper of the Kpop boyband Shinhwa.

Solbi (born September 30, 1984) is a singer and actress. She used to be part of the mixed group, Typhoon.

The couple is informally known as Ansol couple or Anbi couple, dubbed by mixing syllables of their names.

Jung Hyung Don (born March 15, 1978) is a South Korean comedian and entertainer.

Saori (born May 19, 1981) is a Japanese-born Korean famous for her appearance in Global Beauties Chat.

Kim Hyun Joong & Hwang Bo (Ep 9-38) [Lettuce couple]

Kim Hyun Joong (born June 6, 1986) is a singer, actor and model. He is best known as the leader of Kpop boyband, SS501 as well as for his role as Yoon Ji Hoo in “Boys Over Flowers” and as Baek Seung Jo in “Mischievous Kiss” (also known as Playful Kiss).

Hwangbo Hyejeong (born August 16, 1980), better known as Hwangbo, is a singer and rapper. She is the leader of the defunct Kpop girlgroup, Chakra.

The couple gained their nickname at Jeju island during their honeymoon when Hyun Joong repeatedly mispronounced lettuce (Ssangchu instead of Sangchu). They were the most competitive and wackiest pair; most of their episodes show Hyun Joong cracking a joke and Hwang Bo laughing heartily with complete abandon. They were awarded MBC's Best Couple Award on 29 December 2008.

Hwan Hee & Hwa Yobi (Ep 25, 29-44) [Dog Poopie couple]

Hwang Yoon Seok (born January 17, 1982) and best known as Hwan Hee or Fany is a Korean singer and actor. He used to be a member of the R&B duo “Fly to the Sky”.

Park Hwayobi (February 11, 1982), also known as Hwayobi, is also an R&B singer.

The smelly nickname, “Dog Poopie” is Hwanhee’s term of endearment for Hwayobi after she steps on sand and thought it to be dog poop.

Marco & Dam Bi (Ep 25, 29-44) [Killer couple]

Marco (born July 12, 1977) is a model and actor with South Korean descent but born and raised in Argentina.

Son Dam Bi (born September 25, 1983) is a singer, model and actress.

Marco overuses the word “Killer” when praising Dam Bi hence their moniker.

Choi Jin Young & Lee Hyun Ji (Ep 25)

Choi Jin Young (November 17, 1970 to March 29, 2010) was a South Korean singer and actor. He appeared in the television series It’s Ok Because I Love You. Jin Young committed suicide on March 29, 2010 by hanging himself at his home in Seoul.

Lee Hyun Ji (born January 19, 1987) is a South Korean singer and actress. She used to be the vocalist of Kpop girlgroup Banana Girl.

Kang In & Lee Yoon Ji (Ep 39-55) [Acorn Jelly couple]

Kim Young Woon (born January 17, 1985) more commonly known as Kang In is a Kpop singer and actor. He is part of the boyband, Super Junior.

Lee Yoon Ji (born March 15, 1984) is an actress and model. She portrayed the role of a faculty member in the television drama Dream High and a two-time on-screen Princess as Princess Lee Jae Shin in King 2 Hearts and Princess Hye Myung in Princess Hours.

The couple got their duo name, Acorn Jelly couple when Yoon Ji comments her observation that the waves remind her of acorn jelly. Kingin agrees with Yoon Ji and actually noted the same in a prior radio interview recorded before the couple even paired up at We Got Married.

Jung Hyung Don & Taeyeon (Ep 42-54) [Jelly Pudding couple]

Jung Hyung Don (born March 15, 1978) is a South Korean comedian and entertainer.

Kim Tae Yeon (born March 9, 1989) is commonly known as Taeyeon. She is an actress an spokesmodel as well as the leader of the famous Kpop girlgroup, Girls’ Generation.

The couple was named Jelly Pudding since Taeyeon likes jelly worm gummies while Hyungdon is known for the nickname “Pudding”.

Shin Sung Rok & Kim Shin Young (Ep 42, 45-54)

Shin Sung Rok (born November 23, 1982) is an actor known for his role as Na Hwang Kyeong in One Mom and Three Dads.

Kim Shin Young is a comedienne.

Jun Jin & Si Young (Ep 42, 45-55) [Gundam couple]

Jun Jin (born Park Choong Jae on August 19, 1980) is an actor and member of the longest running Kpop male group, Shinhwa. He appeared in the television drama Let’s Go to The Beach.

Lee Si Young (born April 17, 1982) is a South Korean actress, model, singer and boxer. Si Young is best remembered for her roles in Wild RomanceBoys Over Flowers, The Birth of the Rich, and Playful Kiss/Mischievous Kiss.

Jun Jin and Si Young used to be a real-life couple but they amicably parted ways after 6 months of going steady. The couple name Gundam pertains to Si Young's favorite toy and tv series which she is passionate about. Unfortunately, Jun Jin doesn’t share her interest in Gundam.

 Kim Yong Jun & Hwang Jung Eum (Ep 1-31)

Kim Yong Jun (born September 12, 1984) is the leader and sub-vocal of the ballad trio SG Wannabe.

Hwang Jung Eum (born December 25, 1984) is an actress and performer. She used to be a part of the Kpop group, Sugar. Jung Eum also starred in hit drama series Can You Hear My HeartEast of Eden, and High Kick Through the Roof.

Yong Jun and Jung Eum is a real-life celebrity couple. They've been dating for about five years.

Park Jae Jung & UEE (Ep 12-31) [Caramel couple]

Park Jae Jung (born June 24, 1980) is a model and actor from television dramas Coffee House, Jung Yak Yong, and You Are My Destiny.

UEE/U-ie, also known as Kim Yu Jin (born April 9, 1988) is a dance-pop singer and member of the Kpop girl group, After School South Korean. She starred in romantic-comedy series, You’re Beautiful and variety show, Barefoot Friends.

Both Jae Jung and Uee appeared in the television hit Queen Seon Duk. The couple gained the name Caramel couple after Jae Jung gave Uee caramel candy during their first meeting.

Jo Kwon & Gain (Ep 21-80) [Adam couple]

Jo Kwon also known as Sacre Bleu (born August 28, 1989) is a South Korean singer and entertainer. He is the leader of South Korean ballad boygroup, 2AM.

Ga In (born as Son Ga In is born September 20, 1987), she is singer and member of the Kpop girl group, Brown Eyed Girls.

The name Adam couple pertains to two things – “Adam-Eve” since Jo Kwon and Gain are both naive when it comes to relationships, and “Adam” (which means small or little in Korean language) referring to their small physique.

Lee Seok Hun & Kim Na Young (Ep 21)

Lee Seok Hun (born February 21, 1984) is the vocalist of SG Wannabe.

Kim Na Young (born December 8, 1984) is an MC and actress. She starred in tv dramas Personal Preference, All My Love, and Call of the Country.

Lee Sun Ho & Hwang Woo Seul Hye (ep 32-42)

Lee Sun Ho (born December 14, 1981) is a South Korean actor. He is part of the television drama Mary Stayed Out All Night and Let’s Go to the Beach.

Hwang Woo Seul Hye (born August 10, 1979) is a South Korean actress. She is part of the casts of My Love, My Family.

Yong Hwa & Seo Hyun (ep 40-91) [Goguma Couple / YongSeo Couple]

Jung Yong Hwa (born June 22, 1989) is a singer and actor. He is the lead member of Korean band, C.N.BLUE and he is best remembered as Kang Shin Woo in the television drama, You’re Beautiful, and as Lee Shin in Heartstrings.

Seohyun (born Seo Joo Hyun on June 28, 1991) is a singer, dancer, actress, spokesmodel and model. She is the youngest member and main vocalist of the girl group Girls’ Generation.

They were coined as Goguma couple when Seo Hyun was asked to rate Yong Hwa by comparing him to either sweet potato (Yong Hwa’s favorite) or hamburger (Seo Hyun finds it unhealthy). Other than being dubbed as Goguma couple, some also refer to the pair as YongSeo, coined by combining the first letters of their names.

Nichkhun & Victoria (ep 52-91, Season III ep 1-24) 
[Samgyeopsal couple/Khuntoria couple /Winnie Couple]

Nichkhun Horvejkul (born Nitchakhun Horawetchakun on June 24, 1988), simply known as Nichkhun is a singer from the Kpop boyband 2PM. He is of Thai-Chinese descent, born in California but lived as well in Thailand and New Zealand before returning to finish High School in California where he was discovered at the Los Angeles Korean Music Festival.

Victoria Song better known as Victoria (born Song Qian on February 2, 1987) is the Chinese member and leader of the female Kpop group, f(x). She is a singer, actress, model and dancer.

Nickhun and Victoria are known by three couple names: Samgyeopsal couple, pertaining to Victoria’s favorite food, Khuntoria couple referring to their official Korean couple name, and Winnie couple, said to be their official Chinese couple name.

Lee Jang Woo & Ham Eun Jung [WooJung Couple/ Campus Couple]

Lee Jang Woo (born June 1, 1986) is a South Korean actor and singer. He is part of the Kpop group 24/7 and he appeared in  I Do, I Do, Young Love Jae In, Smile, Dong Hae and Three Brothers.

Ham Eun Jung (born December 12, 1988) is a singer, rapper, dancer, and actress. She is a member of the Kpop girl group T-ARA and acted in television dramas Coffee House and Dream High.

Jang Woo and Eung Jung were called WooJung couple by fans in reference to their name’s combined first and last letters, which aptly means “friendship”, consistent with their friendly aura. They are also known as Campus couple since they are both students at the same university.

Kim Won Joon & Park So Hyun [Brave couple]

Kim Won Joon (born February 16, 1973) is a South Korean actor. His television dramas include Stormy Lovers and Garden of Eve.

Park So Hyun (born on February 11, 1971) is an MC and actress. She appeared in television programs Triple, The Innocent Woman and General Hospital.

Viewers call them the Brave couple because of they treat each other on-cam. They have known each other for almost 20 years hence they can just be themselves without any inhibitions.

David Oh and Kwon Ri Sae (Season III ep 11-24) 

David Oh (born June 29, 1991) is a Korean-American musician, while Kwon Ri Sae (born August 16, 1991) is also a Korean-Japanese performer, both of them were contestants of "The Birth of a Great Star".

Leeteuk and Kang So Ra 
[Dimples couple / Teukso couple / Leader couple / Piano couple]

Leeteuk (born July 1, 1983) is the leader of super boy band, Super Junior. Kang So Ra (born February 18, 1990) is an actress known for her drama and movie projects Dream High 2, Sunny, 4th Period Mystery and Our Women. 

They are called Dimples couple due to their noticeable dimples, while some address them as Teukso couple, a name coined by combining their names. They are also called Leader Couple, since Leeteuk is the leader of Super Junior, while Kang Sora played leader of an all-girls high school groupie in the movie, Sunny. Lastly, some refer to them as the Piano couple since they both play the piano well. 

Season IV

Julien Kang (born April 11, 1982) is a French-Canadian actor of Korean and French descent, model and brother of UFC mixed martial artist Denis Kang. Julien starred in Korean dramas To The Beautiful You, High Kick through the Roof, Goodbye Wife, Twelve Men in a Year, and High Kick 3: The Revenge of the Short Legged. Yoon Se Ah (born January 2, 1980) is an actress and starred in dramas A Gentleman's Dignity and Lovers in Prague

Hwang Kwang Hee and Han Sunhwa [SunHee Couple]

Hwang Kwang Hee (born August 25, 1988) or simply known as Kwanghee is a member of the Korean boyband, ZE:A. He starred in the korean drama, To the Beautiful You. Han Sunhwa (born October 6, 1990) is a Korean singer, model, actress and dancer. She is part of the Korean girl group, Secret.  The two are friends in real life prior their taking part as a virtual couple at We Got Married. 

Lee Joon and Oh Yeon Seo [JoonSeo Couple]

Lee Joon (born February 7, 1988) is a singer, actor, model and member of the Korean boy band, MBLAQ. Oh Yeon Seo (born June 22, 1987) is a Korean actress known for dramas You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly, Dong Yi and My Husband Got a Family. It was said that the JoonSeo couple was particularly paired because Yeon Seo thinks of Joon as her ideal man, while Joon's ideal girl is someone who likes him.

[Cherish couple / Extreme couple]

Jung Jin Woon (born May 2, 1991) is a Korean singer and actor. He is a member of the Kpop boy band 2AM. He starred in the musical drama, Dream High 2.

Go Jun Hee (born August 31, 1985 as Kim Eun Joo) is a Korean actress and model.  She used her birth name during the early years of her entertainment career but opted to adopt the stage name Go Jun Hee, named after her character in the romantic comedy drama, What's Up Fox?. She also starred in dramas Crazy in Love, Can You Hear My Heart?, and Architecture 101

They are called the Extreme couple because their likes and preferences are always poles apart. They also go by the moniker Cherish couple, derived by combining the Chinese characters of their names (from the second character in Jin Woo's name and the third character in Jun Hee's name).  

Lee Taemin and Son Na Eun
[Innocent couple]

Lee Taemin (born July 18, 1993) is an actor, singer, dancer and model. He is a member of the Kpop group Shinee and has appeared in the Korean drama Dating Agency: Cyrano. Son Na Eun (born February 4, 1994) is a singer, dancer and actress. She is a member of the girl group A Pink, and has starred in dramas The Great Seer and Childless Comfort.   Both Taemin and Na Eun studied high school at Chungdam High School and got to work together in the drama, Salamander Guru and the Shadows where they portrayed the role of siblings. 

So far, Tae Min and Na Eun are the youngest virtual couple in We Got Married with no prior dating or relationship experience. They are called the Extreme couple because their likes and preferences are always poles apart. They also go by the moniker Cherish couple, derived by combining the Chinese characters of their names (from the second character in Jin Woo's name and the third character in Jun Hee's name).  

Jo Jung Chi and Choi Jung In

Jo Jung Chi is a singer, songwriter and guitarist and a member of ShinChiRim and Greencheese. Choi Jung In (born December 7, 1980) is a musician. They have been a real-life couple for 11 years prior to casting in We Got Married.

Lee Hongki and Fujii Mina
[Circus couple / Cutie Couple]

Lee Hongki (born March 2, 1990) is a singer, actor and MC. He is a leader of the boyband F.T. Island and has starred in the sensational hit Korean drama You're Beautiful. Fujii Mina (born July 15, 1988) is a Japanese actress and film critic columnist.

The couple goes by the moniker Circus couple because the are able to do circus-y tricks such as riding a unicycle and spinning trays and even a small table with the use of one or two fingers. Some also refer to them as the Cutie couple due a Youtube video of them singing, "Gwiyomi" while preparing dinner.

Taecyeon and Gui Gui
[Selca couple]

Taecyeon (born December 27, 1988) is a singer, actor and rapper.  He is a leader of the boyband 2PM and has starred in Korean dramas Dream High and Cinderella's Sister. Gui Gui (born August 11, 1989) is a Taiwanese singer and actress. She was a member of the Mandopop girlgroup Hey Girl and appeared in the Taiwanese drama Brown Sugar MacchiatoTaecyeon is fond of taking selca (self-capture photos) of himself with Gui Gui hence fans refer to them as Selca couple.
